Vasundhara visits UK, US to woo investors
New Delhi, Jun 27 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has left for a 15-day tour of the United Kingdom and the United States to woo NRIs to invest generously for the development of the state.
Ms Raje, who has planned a two-day stay in the UK, left for London yesterday.
In the US, where she is expected to reach New York on Thursday, would address the Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA) on July 2 and 3 where she would appeal to the Non-Resident Rajashanis to shoulder the responsibility of serving their motherland and participate actively in the all round development of the state.
She said she was pinning her hopes on the promises made to her by RANA when its office had come here to extend the invitation for their conference in the US. They are expected to submit concrete proposals and programmes for the development of Rajasthan, she added.
Besides, Ms Raje would also meet Microsoft chief Bill Gates to discuss programmes, especially associated with the education of girls besides public private partnership.
