Ultras attack CRPF camp, jawan killed

Bokaro, June 26 (UNI) Maoists attacked a CRPF camp and killed a jawan in the Jhumra hill area and damaged railway tracks at three places by triggering land mine blast in this extremism affected district late last night.

According to police, the ultras attacked the camp of 72 Batallion of CRPF with mortars and AK-47 rifles. A jawan was killed during crossfiring. At least 12 thousand rounds were fired. Later, the ultras fled leaving 15 crude bombs, 200 cartridges and 15 hand grenades.

The ultras, which include some CPI-Maoists, naxalites from Nepal and AP also damaged railway tracks in Gomia, Yogeshwar Bihar and Dumari Bihar areas by triggering land mine blast. Security personnels has launched a massive combing operation to nab the ultras.
