Three held for distributing cash, gold to lure voters in UT

Pondicherry, June 27 (UNI) Three persons were arrested on charges of distributing cash and gold nose studs to lure voters at Viduthalai Nagar nere here today.

According to an official release, district election officer Theva Neethi Das said the election vigilance wing acted on the information they received in the wee hours and made the arrest.

The trio were caught red handed and Rs 6000 in cash and 17 nose studs were seized from them. On interrogation, they confessed to the crime.
