Select metal prices rise on firm London advice
Mumbai, June 27 (UNI) Select metal prices ruled better on fresh industrial demand along with firm advice from London Metal Exchange, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
In ferrous section (per quintal) ; copper heavy and copper utensils prices looked up by Rs 200 and Rs 100, respectively, while brass utensils and brass cuttings also went up by Rs 200 and Rs 500, respectivley, on sustained heavy buying support by local dealers.
However, aluminium utensils remained unchanged on scattered demand.
In non-ferrous section(per quintal), zinc slab and lead ingots prices also rose by Rs 400 and Rs 200, respectively, on lack of offers by stockists, induced by firm advice from LME along with Kolkata and delhi.
Nickel cathode shot up by Rs ten per kg on sustained heavy buying support while tin slab gained by Re one per kg on scattered demand.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 33,000, copper utensils - Rs 27,000, brass utensils - Rs 19,200, brass cuttings - Rs 23,000, aluminium utensils - Rs 10,000.
Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 36,800, aluminium ingots - Rs 12,900, zinc slab - Rs 16,800, lead ingots - Rs 6,000, tin slab - Rs 456 (per kg), nickel cathode - Rs 1,070 (per kg).
