Qatari fined Rs 4900 for punching Indian barber, smashinh saloon
Dubai, June 27 (UNI) A Qatari man, who punched an Indian barber and smashed his saloon in the Bahrain city of Manama, ended up paying Rupees 4,900 (BD 40) after a row over a hair cut costing Rs 36 (300 fils).
T N Nijeesh, 27, told police the customer insisted on paying only Rs 12 (100 fils) for the trim.
When the unnamed Qatari went on a rampage, Nijeesh pulled down the shutters after other customers fled the scene.
''He managed to do enough damage to the shop and broke all the windows,'' the Indian said after calling the police.
''But after being confronted by the police, he paid for the entire damage which came to Rs 4,900 (BD40),'' Nijeesh said nursing a bruised face.
