Prostitution racket in hostel busted

Sriganganagar, June 27 (UNI) An administrative inquiry has been initiated into the case of two girls arrested from the hostel of Social Welfare Department here who were allegedly brought for prostitution.

The police arrested the two girls, hailing from 24 Parganas in West Bengal, from a room in the hostel on receiving information from the hostel warden Shashikant yesterday.

The police said the two girls had come here by bus from Delhi yesterday and were told to reach the hostel by a youth named Jassi.

Acting District Collector Harlal Saharan said chief executive officer Shambhu Singh Meena has been directed to investigate the matter.
