PCB to help 55 bowlers with suspect actions
Lahore, June 27 (UNI) Taking serious note of the increasing reports of suspect bowling actions, the Pakistan Cricket Board has taken an initiative to help 55 such bowlers rectify their style.
A review committee headed by former Test player Mudassar Nazar will monitor the remidial work.
''The committee has decided to initially try to improve the bowling actions of bowlers reported during the last domestic season,'' according to board director Abbas Zaidi.
Some of the Pakistani bowlers that have been reported for suspect action at international level include Shoaib Akhtar, Shabbir Ahmed, Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi.
Shabbir is under a one-year ban from the ICC.
