Parliamentary commitee praises VSP

Visakhapatnam, June 27 (UNI) The Parliamentary Standing Committee on coal and steel headed by Ananth Kumar today praised Vizag Steel Plant for impressive performance, team work and employee commitment.

After visiting the plant here, committee members had discussions with chairman and managing director Y Siva Sagar Rao. K K Rao, Director (operations), explained the achievements of the plant. The committee assured help and cooperation for future growth.

The committee witnessed a presentation and toured the plant. It said it was one of the best eco-friendly plants in the country.

The committee members also interacted with representatives of Steel Executive Association and various trade unions.

The other members were Harichandra Deoram Chavan, C Shekar Dubey, Chandrakant Bharao Khaire, Faggan Singh Kulaste, E Ponnuswamy, Ms Karuna Shukla, all Lok Sabha members and Ramadhar Kashyap, Bashistha Narain Singh and Saman Pathak, all Rajya Sabha members.
