Palestinian factions agree statehood manifesto

GAZA, June 27 (Reuters) Palestinian factions have reached agreement on a manifesto at the heart of a power struggle between President Mahmoud Abbas and the governing Hamas movement, a senior aide to Abbas said today.

It was unclear if the agremeent meant a referendum called by Abbas for July 26 on the proposal would now be cancelled.
