Ehud Olmert rejects prisoner release for soldier

Jerusalem, June 27 : Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said today that Israel has no intention of releasing Palestinian prisoners in exchange for a soldier kidnapped by militants who infiltrated from the Gaza Strip.

''The question of releasing prisoners is not on the agenda of the Israeli government at all,'' Olmert said in a speech.
