Minor reshuffle in Tripura Ministery

Agartala, Jun 27 (UNI) A minor reshuffle was effected in the Tripura Council of Ministers today.

Governor Dinesh Nandan Sahaya reallocated porfolios held by ailing PWD Minister Badal Chaudhury among four other ministers.

Agriculture and Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty has been given the PWD porfolio, Transport and Rural Development Minister Manik Dey has been given the additional charge of Urban Development, Education Minister Keshab Majumdar got the Finance portfolio and Pranab Debbarma, who is in charge of Home Affairs, has been given the additional charge of Science, Technology and Environment.

The reshuffle has been made in pursuance of the provisions of Rule-5 of the Rules of Executive Business of Government in the State of Tripura.

Meanwhile, Mr Chaudhury is recovering well after he underwent bypass surgery at the Escorts Heart Institute in Delhi recently, sources said.

Mr Chaudhury would be discharged from the hospital in a few days time.
