Meghalaya journalist corpus formulated

Shillong, Jun 27 (UNI) Meghalaya Minister in-charge Information and Public Relation Elstone D Marak today said the government had made a commitment to create a corpus for the welfare of the working journalists in the state.

To a query, raised by Independent MLA Manas Chaudhuri, Mr Marak informed the House that the formulation of a scheme for setting up corpus was under process.

The Minister said the government will start with Rs 50,000 for the corpus.
