Five killed, nine injured in accident

Sangli, Maharashtra, June 27 (UNI) Five persons were killed while nine others were seriously injured when a truck in which they were travelling, rammed into a tree near village Tamkhadi on Vita-Khanapur road in this district today.

Vita police said the tiles loaded truck, which was carrying the passengers illegally was on it's way to Karad from Shahbad, when the vehicle rammed into the tree and turned turtle.

The deceased included an eleven-year old boy, the police said.

The injured have been hospitalised in Karad and Vita rural health hospital,police added.
