Extradited Krushi Bank Chairman brought from Thailand
Hyderabad, June 27 (UNI) Krushi Bank chairman K Venkateswara Rao, extradited from Thailand in connection with the fraud involving the bank, landed at the airport here tonight.
A posse of police officials led by Deputy Inspector General of Police C V Anand brought him here amid tight security even as a large number of people including gullible depositors thronged the airport.
He is the first accused in the fraud case involving the bank and a non-bailable warrant was pending against him for alleged swindling of Rs 32 crore of depositors money. Venkateswara Rao would be produced before the court of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge later in the night.
