Hyderabad, June 27 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission today ordered 15 errant election officials in Prakasam district to be relieved from poll duty forthwith.

Addressing the press here, EC Secretary G N Rao said it was found during inquiry by the District Joint Collector that six of 15 officials had included minor voters in the electoral list of Ponduru Gram Panchayat. Nine others were found responsible for discrepancies in electoral rolls of Koppolu, Ommevaram and Nagulapadu villages.

The EC today issued notification for conduct of election of Members (coopted), Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Zilla Parishads on July 10 and Mandal Parishads on July 11.

Meanwhile, a TDP delegation led by party polit Bureau member M Jagannadham, MP, met Election Commissioner A V S Reddy and charged that the ruling Congress, capitalising on the EC order for establishing voter identity, had allegedly opened new Savings Bank Accounts to get voting right for bogus voters.

The TDP urged the EC to direct district election authorities not to permit any bank account to be opened after issue of election notification.

Charging that the ruling party, after allegedly forcing opposition candidates to withdraw from contest for ZPTC and MPTC seats in the Chief Minister's home constituency Pulivendula, had ''conspired'' to capture booths in neighbouring mandals, the TDP leaders, including General Secretary M Renuka wanted the EC to intervene immediately and send additional police force to sensitive polling stations.

The party also asked the EC to provide for transport to voters in areas where they had to travel a distance of 14 to 15 km to vote.
