Consultant for AI-Indian merger to be finalised

New Delhi, June 27: The joint board subcommittee on merger of Air India and Indian (Airlines) today shortlisted three consortia to prepare a roadmap for future course of action.

They are: Accenture with Ambit Corporate Finance; ICICI Securities in association with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, NM Rothchild and Sons, Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation and MV Kini&Company; and JM Morgan Stanley, AT Kearney and Amarchand Mangaldas.

Sources said the three consortia will be made available detailed terms of reference to enable them submit technical and financial bids.

The joint board subcommittee will meet again in second week of July to consider these bids for final decision on appointment of the consultant.

The other four consortia who had submitted bids are: BOB Capital Markets with Airline Capital Associates, Karnik and Associations and Anmol Sekhri and Associates; Ernst and Young with IDBI Bank, Lufthansa Consulting and Luthra and Luthra; Price Waterhouse Coopers; and SBI Capital Markets with Simat, Hilliesen and Eichner, and Trilegal and Lodha and Company.
