Cognizance against accused in BPSC case
Patna, June 27 (UNI) Special vigilance judge of Patna Ramnivas Prasad today took cognizance in a disproportionate assets (DA) case against Ramashish Singh, former personal assistant of ex-chairman of Bihar Public Service Commission(BPSC) Dr Ramsinghasan Singh.
The designated judge took cognizance under various sections of Indian Penal Code(IPC) and Prevention of Corruption(PC) Act. Mr Singh is currently posted as a steno typist in the science and technology department.
According to the charges Mr Singh had amassed property worth in crores of rupees, disproportionate to his all known souces of income, in his own name and in the name of his relatives. The former BPSC chairman is currently lodged in jail in a case of irregularities committed in a competitive examination conducted by the BPSC.
