Call rates trade at 5.75-5.85 pc; Bonds low
Mumbai, June 27 (UNI) Call rates today traded in the range of 5.75-5.85 per cent on account of strong liquidity flow in the market.
On June 22, the Reserve Bank of India transacted Rs 15,520.35 crore at the weighted average of 5.82 per cent in the call money market.
In the first liquidity adjustment, RBI transacted Rs 17,580 crores through 23 bids at the rate of 5.75 per cent.
RBI did not inject any money through the repo auction.
Earlier, RBI had fixed the reference rate for the day at Rs 46.36/US dollar, as compared to the previous rate of Rs 46.34/US dollar.
Gilts were subdued today. The eleven-year bond (GS 8.07 per cent 2017) traded at Rs 98.87, which gave a yield of 8.25 per cent.
