Brazil lead Ghana 2-0 at halftime
DORTMUND, June 27 (Reuters) Brazil led Ghana 2-0 at halftime in their World Cup second round game today after goals from strikers Ronaldo and Adriano.
Ronaldo's fifth minute goal made him the most prolific scorer ever in World Cup finals, taking his tally to 15 and breaking a record he had shared with German Gerd Mueller.
Adriano slid in the second in stoppage time at the end of the half, amid protests from Ghana who claimed offside.
The goal was tough on Ghana, hoping to become the first African side to score against Brazil in a World Cup. They had almost equalised in the 42nd minute when defender John Mensah's header from a corner was blocked by goalkeeper Dida with his foot.
The winner will play either Spain or France.
