Birla Corporation Q4 profit up by 76 per cent

New Delhi, June 27: Birla Corporation Ltd today registered a 76 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 at Rs 67.14 crore as against Rs 38.14 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The company's total income for the quarter was up by 12 per cent at Rs 396.9 crores as compared to Rs 352.2 crores for the same period last year .

The company has posted a 44 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 125.7 for the year ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 86.8 crore a year ago.
