Women wing of BJP meets governor on price rise

Patna, Jun 26 (UNI) Women's wing of the BJP here today called on Bihar governor R S Gavai and submitted a memorandum address to the President of India seeking his intervention to arrest price hike of essential commodities.

Party's spokesperson Kiran Ghai said that a delegation met the governor, who assured them that he would send it to the addresse.

Ms Ghai said that there was many fold increase in the prices of essential commodities which made the life of common people miserable. She said that recent hike in petro prices had resulted in hike of the prices of the commodities.

Earlier the members marched through the main thoroughfares of the city before reaching Rajbhawan. They also organised a signature campaign from June 6 to 21 to protest the rise of essentials.
