UK raid suspect faces extradition from Morocco
LONDON, June 26 (Reuters) Britain will seek to extradite a man arrested in Morocco in connection with the UK's biggest cash robbery, police said today.
The 26-year-old Briton from London is wanted for questioning over the 53 million pound (97 million dollars) armed raid on a cash depot in Kent, southeast England, in February.
The man, who has not been named, was arrested in a shopping centre in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, yesterday.
''The man is now in custody pending extradition proceedings,'' a Kent Police spokeswoman said. More details were expected later today.
The arrests came after a three-month investigation by Moroccan police in cooperation with their British counterparts.
British police have charged seven people in connection with the February 22 robbery on the Securitas depot.
