UBS Officials meet AP CM

Hyderabad, June 26 (UNI) Chief Financial Officer, UBS, Clive Standish along with company CEO Vipul Khanna and Director Suresh Chandra today called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

UBS, one of the worlds leading financial institutions headquartered in Switzerland has set up its campus in the 11.6 acres of land given by the State Government at Nanakramguda with an investment of Rs 50 crore and started operations from its new premises today.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the UBS and the state government was signed in July last year.

UBS, ranked number 11 in Forbes 2000 list, and asset management worth (turnover) USD two Trillion, has presence in 50 countries.

Incidently, this was the first Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) in Hyderabad.

With 66,000 employees worldwide, the UBS Hyderabad facility employing 250, intended to ramp up the Indian operations to 3000 employees by 2007.

Mr Standish thanked Chief Minister for extending cooperation in setting up its centre here.

Dr Reddy, while expressing his happiness for starting UBS operations here in less than a year, assured that the state government would extend further help needed to them.
