Tendulkar retires after making 147 for Lashings

London, June 26 (UNI) Sachin Tendulkar made 147 for Lashings World XI before retiring in the drawn match against Reigate Priory Cricket Club, Surrey, here.

Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Lashings World XI declared at 292 for four in 41.3 overs, with former West Indies captain Richie Richardson also chipping in for 95 runs.

In reply, Reigate Priory made 197 for seven in 51 overs with Jon Gale top-scoring with unbeaten 64 and Aleks Richards contributing 31 runs.

Vasbert Drakes took two wickets for 12 while Aaron Pope was the most successful bowler for Reigate snaring three Lashings wickets for 61.

On Wednesday last, Tendulkar made 155 against Cambridge University to lead Lashings to 104 runs win.
