Sugar prices rises on improved demand

Navi Mumbai, June 26 (UNI) Sugar prices rose on improved demand, traders at the sugar market said today.

Sugar rates in ex-mill small and medium grades went up by Rs 20 and Rs 15 per quintal, respectively, on reduced stock supply.

Sugar rates in small and medium grades went up by Rs 10 and Rs five per quintal, respectively, on increase of fresh demand.

Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,840/1,870, medium grade Rs 1,870/1,931.

Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,820/1850 and medium grade Rs 1,850/1,885.
