Sportspersons to get jobs in Haryana police
Chandigarh, Jun 26 (UNI) Sportspersons in Haryana can now look forward to maintain law and order in the state.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced to reserve 120 posts for outstanding sportspersons of the state in the ongoing recruitment to fill up the vacancies in Police Department.
The Chief Minister was talking to mediapersons shortly after presiding over a function to give away Bhim Awards and State Sports Awards to outstanding sportspersons at a function organised at Raj Bhawan here.
At present, recruitment is underway to fill up 4000 vacancies of police constables.
The Chief Minister said a three per cent reservation for outstanding sportspersons already existed in Government jobs.
The Chief Minister also defended the decision to engage a Public Relations agency, saying it was aimed at projecting the ''true'' image of the state so that the world gets to know what Haryana had to offer and the state could attract more investments.
