Sakhalin crude to arrive by Q 4, ONGC
New Delhi, Jun 26 (UNI) The country will receive the first shipment of crude oil from Russia's Sakhalin-1 field in the fourth quarter of this year, ONGC said here today.
ONGC Videsh Limited Managing Director R S Butola said the oil will arrive in the fourth quarter of this year.
OVL has a 20 per cent stake in the Sakhalin-1 oil and gas field and is likely to ship at least first two cargoes to Indian refiners.
Japanese consortium Sodeco holds 30 per cent in the Sakhalin-1 oil and gas field.
Sakhalin 1, due to produce about 250,000 barrels per day (bpd) by the end of this year, is operated by Exxon Mobil, which has a 30-per cent stake.
The oil find is the biggest in many years in the region.
