SAF jawan kills self

Balaghat, MP, Jun 26 (UNI) A Special Armed Force jawan, stationed at Dora Police Post in this naxalism-affected district, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with his service rifle while on sentry duty, police said.

Jawan Deepak Sharma (25), who was attached to the Indore Battalion, took the extreme step last night.

''The motive is unclear. The body is being sent to Indore after post mortem. The battalion's Deputy Superintendent and the deceased's brother have reached here,'' said Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh.
