Ronaldo given 80 pct chance of facing England

MARIENFELD, Germany, June 26 (Reuters) Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, who limped off in yesterday's bruising clash with the Netherlands, has an 80 per cent chance of recovering in time to face England, the team doctor said today.

Henrique Jones told reporters that the winger had injured his right thigh, but that he could be back to full training on Thursday or Friday.

Portugal's quarter-final clash against England takes place in Gelsenkirchen on Saturday.

Ronaldo, who plays for Manchester United, shed tears in the dugout after he was replaced by Simao Sabrosa in yesterday's bad-tempered second round match which Portugal won 1-0.

The side are already without Deco and Costinha, who were both sent off in a game which saw 16 yellow cards and four dismissals.
