Reliance's Flag Telecom ties up with Omantel

Dubai, June 26 (UNI) Flag Telecom Company, a subsidiary of Reliance-Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, has tied up with Oman Telecommunication Company (Omantel), to make the sultanate an Internet transit point between the West Asia and Africa.

As per the agreement, Flag Telecom would also lay a marine cable for the Oman-based company.

Internet services along with lease circuit services and the Multi-Party Labelling System (MPLS), known to be the fastest electronic link, would begin from September to 12 countries, including the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council.
