Randhawa signs off tied 47th at Jhonnie Walker Classic
Gleneagles, June 26 (UNI) Jyoti Randhawa slipped 10 places to finish tied 47th after carding a level-par final round in the Johnnie Walker Championship here.
Randhawa, who will be looking to book himself a place in The Open in Royal Liverpool when he tees off at the European qualifiers in England, finished with a four-day total of two-under 290.
The Indian had a less than impressive start to his day as he dropped a shot on the second and hit level-par shots to be one-over at the halfway mark.
He was off to a flier in the back-nine hitting consecutive birdies on the 11th and 12th but squandered the advantage with a double-bogey on the 13th. He ended the day with a birdie on the 18th.
Meanwhile, Englishman Paul Casey (276) won the title carding a one-under 72 in the final round to finish a stroke ahead of Denmark's Soren Hansen, who shot a three-under 70 to overtake Scot Colin Montogomerie (278).
