Pak to release 240 Indian fishermen on June 30
New Delhi, Jun 26 (UNI) Pakistan will release 240 Indian fishermen from jail on June 30 while India has sought consular access to 192 fishermen and 118 civilian prisoners.
A spokesman of the External Affairs Ministry said here today that no Pakistani fishermen in India is ready for release. There are 30 Pakistani fishermen in India.
However, their nationality had not been confirmed and consular access had not been sought.
''Therefore, they do not fit the bill for release yet,'' the spokesman added.
He said that of the 240, India had sought consular access to 192 fishermen.
It had also sought consular access to 118 civilians.
