NIIT targets industry endorsed courses

Kolkata, Jun 26 (UNI) IT training company NIIT is targetting industry endorsed courses for growth.

"The industry endorsed course has been designed with feedback from our 3,000 placement clients. It includes software engineering, networking and software testing skills apart from the course material of the GNIIT," NIIT Ltd's vice-president Tulika Sinha said.

Sinha, who inaugurated the 17th centre in Kolkata, said the GNIIT course costs Rs 1,03,000.

NIIT has also formulated A-NIIT course for the non-IT engineers, Sinha said.

NIIT presently operates 400 centres. NIIT placed 24,000 students last year as against 10,500 in the previous in various IT companies.
