Nidhi Khobaragade tops merit list in Nagpur division

Nagpur, June 26 (UNI) Nidhi Moreshwar Khobaragade of Keshavnagar Madhyamik Shala, Nagpur topped the merit list of SSC examination in the Nagpur division, conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Seconday education in March this year.

Siddha Sanjay Jain of St Xavier High School in Nagpur stood second in the division. Nidhi Khobaragade secured 95.73 per cent marks, while Siddha obtained 95.06 per cent.

A total of 1,17,343 students appeared in the examinations, of which 1,01,213 have passed, throwing a pass per cent of 58.87.

In all, 109 candidates figured in the merit list in the division, with district-wise merit holders being - Nagpur 76, Chandrapur 13, Bhandara 8, Wardha 7 and Gondia 5.

City girl Sonali Mahadev Tambade was the first among five students belonging to backward class. Agha Mashkoor Nizamizubhair Alam was first in night-going schools, while Sayali Vivek Sarpatwar stood first among the handicapped candidates.
