Man kills his three-year-old son

Silchar, Jun 26 (UNI) A father hacked his 3-year-old son to death and then burned the body to remove evidence, police said today.

The gruesome incident happened at Narshingpur, 18-km from here under Sonai police station in Cachar district of Asom.

Police said Krishnendu Nath, an ex-army man, in a drunken state had a quarrel with his family members and then cut his son into pieces when the baby was in deep sleep at the wee hours today.

The killer did not stop there. He then burned the body inside the house.

His wife and other family members fled from the scene after witnessing the guesome murder.

Later the neighbours barged on the house and beat the killer before giving him to the police.
