Mah govt transfers 16 IAS officers

Mumbai, June 26 (UNI) The Maharashtra Government today effected transfers of 16 senior IAS officers.

An official release issued here said that Agriculture and Fisheries, Animal Hubandary and Dairy Development secretary Uttam Khobragade has been transferred to General Manager of Brihanmumbai Electricity Transport Supply (BEST) in place of Swadhin Kshtriya who has been shifted as Housing secretary.

Mrs Leena Mehendale who is currently the principal secretary and special inquiry officer (1) in the General Administration Department (GAD) has been transferred as principal secretary of Agriculture , Fisheries, Animal Husbandary and Dairy development.

Mr Satish Tripathi, chairman of the third state finance commission has been transferred as principal secretary and special inquiry officer (1) in the GAD department. But, no appointment has been made to replace Mr Tripathi in his present position.

Dr J M Phatak who is presently the principal secretary of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Water Conservation has been transferred as Principal secretary (2) in the Urban development department.

Mr N B Patil who is the principal secretary (2) in the Urban Development department has been transferred as principal secretary of Relief and Rehabilitation in the Revenue and Forest department.

Mr N Ramarao who is the principal secretary of Housing has been shifted to Relief and Rehabilitation department as principal secretary. While the current Relief and Rehabilitation secretary K S Vatsa has been transferred as Rural development and Panchayat Raj secretary.

Subroto Ratho,Additional Municipal commissioner of BrihanMumbai Municipal corporation (BMC) has been transferred as MD of MSEB Holding company. No appointment has been made to replace Ratho as additional Municipal Commisisoner.

Snil Porwal who was awaiting posting has been made the secretary of Maharashtra state human rights commission.

M Ramesh Kumar who was the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner has been made MD of Small Scale Industries Development Corporation. The present incumeant in the corporation A B Kulkarni has been transferred as secretary School Education and Sports department.

Sumit Mallick who is the secretary of School Education and Sports has been shifted to Social Justice Department as secretary.

Amitabh Chandra who is at present the principal secretary of State Human Rights Commission has been transferred as FDA commissioner.

Bhushan Gagrani,MD of Maharashtra Tourism Development corporation (MTDC) will hold additional charge as Tourism and Cultural affairs secretary.

Mrs Sanjivani Kutty,who is the tourism secretary has been sent to the state Women's Commission as secretary.
