Lightning strike kills Russian soccer player
MOSCOW, June 26 (Reuters) Lightning killed a Russian soccer player during a local match, Interfax news agency reported today.
''One footballer died on the spot. Another was clinically dead, but is now alive,'' it quoted the local emergencies ministry as saying.
The accident happened yesterday in the Volga region of Samara during a game between teams from the towns of Sergievsk and Tolyatti.
