Kohinoor named superbrand in rice category
New Delhi, June 26 (UNI) The flagship brand of the Satnam Overseas Ltd 'Kohinoor' has been recognised as superbrand in the rice category for 2006-07.
The selection was made by the globally acknowledged superbrands council with an independent jury comprising of the country's leading marketing and advertising professionals.
''Our promise has always been to sell a brand, which stands for finest of offerings, Satnam Overseas Ltd Jt Managing Director Gurnam Arora said.
Moreover, the company has a market share of 51.8 per cent in terms of value and 48.4 per cent in volume terms in modern retail formats in the year 2005, a study by AcNeilsen ORG MARG revealed.
This calculation was based on data reported by AcNeilsen through its retail index service for the rice category for the 12 months ending December 2005 for India modern format market.
