KEC bags Rs 198 crore orders from PGCIL

New Delhi, June 26 : KEC International Ltd, a part of the Rs 9,500 crore RPG Enterprises, today announced that it has received two orders worth Rs 198 crore from the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL).

The company's scope of work in the first project, valued at Rs 114 crore, includes supply and construction of about 200 km long 500 KV HVDC transmission line from Ballia to Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

The project is associated with Ballia-Bhiwadi System under POWERGRID System Development Project.

The Project is funded by the World Bank and is to be completed by September 2008.

The second project worth Rs 84 crore, involves supply and construction of 122 km long 400kV double circuit transmission line from Sagardighi to Parulia associated with Sagardighi Thermal Power Project in West Bengal.

The job needs to be finished by February 2008.

The company is already executing various orders for PGCIL, WBSEB, J&K SPDC, UPPCL and Powerlinks.

It is also engaged in executing orders in various countries including Abu Dhabi, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Oman, Zambia, Nigeria and Ethiopia.
