JSW Karnataka State Squash Open Championship from June 28

Bangalore, Jun 26 (UNI) Over 100 players from across the country will be vying for top honours in the JSW Karnataka State Squash Open Championship 2006, in Bellary district from June 28 to 31.

Talking to newspersons here today, Jindal Steel Works Executive Director Dr Vinod K Nowal said the matches up to quarterfinals would be best of three sets and then onwards best of five.

He said entries have been received from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Goa and Madhya Pradesh, besides Karnataka.

Karnataka Squash Rackets Association President J P Carneiro said the championship provided an opportunity to youngsters to participate in the national championship.
