JD(U) to launch mass awakening programme against price rise
Patna, Jun 26 (UNI) The JD(U) today announced to launch a mass awakening programme in protest against the soaring prices of essentials under the UPA government and released copies of posters comparing the hike item wise.
State JD(U) secretary general Upendra Singh Kushwaha told newspersons here that the UPA government came to power by promising to keep the prices under control but a scrutiny of price change used to present a different story.
He said rise in the price of diesel was more troublesome for farmers as the huge fuel was burnt for the irrigation purpose. He said posters would be circulated among the people across the state for apprising them of steep hike in prices of different commodities.

The price of cement per sack increased from Rs 125 to Rs 205 while that of bricks per thousand which used to earlier cost Rs 1800 two years ago were now available at Rs 2800 only, the price chart compared.
