Jaitley charges Punjab govt of indulging in false propoganda
Jalandhar, June 26 (UNI) Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) General Secretary and former Union Minister Arun Jaitley today charged the Amarinder Singh government of indulging in a false propaganda with the motive to mislead the public on the issue of development.
Talking to reporters here Mr Jaitley, who is also incharge of the party's Punjab affairs, said that the publicity campaign in the media by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh was devoid of ground realities.
The government had lost the goodwill of the people as it had failed totally on all fronts including good governance and development, he claimed.
He said that the chief minister had wasted first two years of his tenure in office in settling old scores with political adversaries and the remaining period he had been spending in showing favours to the liquor and land mafia.
He said the Punjabis would give a befitting reply to the Congress in the assembly elections due in February next year. If the SAD-BJP combine returned to power in the state it would give top priority to strengthen social harmony and speed-up development process in the state, he added.
