Iran road crash kills 22 people: TV
Tehran, June 26: A bus and a truck collided head-on in eastern Iran today, killing 22 Iranians and injuring many others, state television reported.
The two vehicles crashed on a highway between the cities of Birjand and Nahbandan, it said.
Iran is notorious for road accidents in which several thousand people are killed every year. The frequent road crashes are blamed on poor police supervision, bad roads and reckless driving.
