Industry-Academia meet at Infy campus in Mysore
Mysore, June 26: A two-day industry-academia meet will be held at the campus of IT major Infosys here from tomorrow to discuss various topics such as redesigning curriculum to meet industry needs and participation of industries in curriculum development.
The conclave, jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the National Institute of Engineerig here, would be attended by all engineering colleges under TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) in South India.
The meet would be addressed by people from the industrial and corporate world and CEOs of MindTree Consulting, Infosys Technologies, Honeywell, TVS Motors, Encore Software, Wipro, NTTF, Kirloskar, Toyota Textile Machinery and Mico, a CII release here said today.
Technocrats from institutions such as Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Indian Institute of Sciences, PSG Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, Centre for Ocean Development, Nitte and Board for IT Education Standards, Bangalore, would also share their views on further strengthening the links between industry and academia, the release added.
