HC's Division bench stays order of single bench
Patna, June 26 (UNI) A division bench of Patna High Court today stayed the order of the single bench which had asked Bihar government to 're-appoint' more than 1000 employees of the state health department, who were dismissed from their services as prescribed rules and regulations were allegedly not adhered to in the appointment process.
After hearing more than 900 writ petitions and Letters Patent Appeal (LPA) filed by the employees and the state government respectively, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Dr. J.N.
Bhatta and Justice Sheokirti Singh observed that the single bench judgement ordering reappointment of the retrenched employees was not fully in tune with the given situation and hence the state government should be given a chance to 're-investigate' into the entire matter.
The division bench directed the state government to complete the inquiry process within six months.
More than 1000 employees of the health department were dismissed from their services by the state government nearly five years back despite the fact that many of them served the department for nearly 15 years.
