HC admitted appeal, filed by accused in sexual abuse case

Mumbai, June 26 (UNI) Bombay High court today admitted an appeal filed by two UK nationals, Duncan Grant and Ann Water challenging the conviction, awarded by the Sessios court in a child abuse case.

Justice Dilip Bhosale while admitting the appeal also refused to grant bail. Both Grant and Water were convicted by Sessions court on March 18, 2006 for their involvement in the sexual abuse case.

According to the prosecution, the accused had raped the minor street children and also took their semi-nude photographs.
