GPSC cancels class-1 recruitment test due to goof-up
Ahmedabad, June 26 (UNI) The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC)-conducted examinations for recruitment to the post of District Education Officers, have been postponed due to an error in the distribution of question papers yesterday.
GPSC Joint Secretary P C Joshi said instead of the General Knowledge objective paper, the special subject Secondary Education Act paper was distributed among the candidates, which led to chaos.
The students objected and the Commission decided to postpone the tests, he told UNI.
The exams are likely to be held in August, he added.
The examination which was being held for a class-1 officer post, was to be taken by about 3,000 students across the State.
