Four more election petitions in Madras H C

Chennai, Jun 26 (UNI) Four more election petitions were today filed before Madras High Court, challenging the election of returned candidates during the May 8 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls.

While AIADMK candidate Damadoran, who was defeated by a narrow margin of 53 votes challenged the election of DMK winner S Mani from Pongallur Assembly Constituency, an independent candidate Thangamuthu challenged the election of AIADMK candidate Chandra from the Rajapalayam Reserved Assembly Constituency.

DMK candidate Rekkaiah Malick challenged the election of AIADMK candidate Chinnasamy from Marungapuri Constituency, AIADMK candidate Rajendran has challenged the election of PMK candidate Velmurugan from Panrutti constituency.

In all 15 election petitions had been filed so far in Madras High Court.
