Federation demands constitution of Pay Commission

Ranchi, Jun 26 (UNI) National federation of state government employees has decided to go on a nation-wide agitation if the sixth pay commission was not constituted soon.

Federation convenor Gopal Prasad Tripathi in a statement here today said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has announced to constitute the sixth pay commission for central government employees. But it is unfortunate that it has not been constituted yet, he stated.

Mr Tripathi appealed to the Prime Minister to constitute the same as soon as poossible otherwise about two crore central and state government employees will be forced to take the path of agitation.
