Elderly couple commits suicide

Rajkot, Jun 26 (UNI) An aged couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from ceiling in their house in Gunatit Nagar area here.

According to police, the bodies of Pravinbhai Bhadeshia (65) and his wife Gitaben (60) were found hanging from ceiling in their room when police broke open the door yesterday afternoon.

Police said they recovered three suicide notes from the room, addressed to the police commissioner, in which the deceased stated that no one was responsible for their taking the extreme step.

Meanwhile, close relatives of the deceased informed police that the couple had no child, and were suffering from diabetes and hypertension.

Investigation into the incident were on, police added.
